Rick Owens x Hood Rubber Company

A close colleague of mine asked me if I would be interested in discussing the Hood Rubber Co. product I was working on and if I would like to work with and co-design with the legendary Rick Owens.  Of course I said yes, and here are the results of this collaboration.

The capsule of co-branded sneaker boots consists of two styles available in three colors, all a part of Rick Owens’ DIRT SS18 collection.

 The outsole boasts a lightweight PU midsole, carbon rubber outsole and a uniquely placed leather welt that adds a very noticeable detail to these styles.

The Rick Owens x Hood Rubber Company project begins with a contemporary runner boot, our “Lace-up Dirt Grafton”, optioned in black and brown oiled leather. The shoe’s unique lining allows it to be 100% waterproof.

Also featured below, our “Dirt Grafton Sock”, done up in supple stretch black Nappa leather that fits stretched as well as draped on the foot.
